About the Author: John Bauer (1882-1918) was one of the most appreciated Swedish Artists and Illustrators of the early XX century.
His artworks, contemporary to those of Pamela “Pixie” Smnith, brought to life a world of sweet and dark myth and folklore, where fariytales blend with pre-Rafaelite suggestions.
John Bauer died at the age of 36 in the Lake Vattern, in his beloved Sweden.
